Instant Dry-Fruit Ladoo



MM Mithaiwala - Dry Fruit Ladoo 

As the weather demands MM Present Easy and Instant traditional and humble dry fruits and nuts ladoo recipe , which is an all time treat for kids too ;) 

Ingredients :- 

Dates - 15
Figs - 5
Raisins - around 20
Badam - 25 whole
Cashews- 10 broken roughly
Pista - 20 whole
Mixed Nuts - 1.5 tbsp chopped
Melted Ghee - 1 tsp
Cardamom powder - 1/8 tsp

Method :- 
  1.  Pulse cashews, pistachios, almonds, hazelnuts coarsely. do not powder
  2. Chop dates to small chunks.
  3. Heat  a heavy bottom pan with ghee, roast the nuts on a low flame
  4. Add seeds and coconut fry for 2 to 3 mins
  5. Add dates and cardamom powder. Fry till you get a nice aroma of coconut. Set it aside. Add sugar to it.
  6. Grate jiggery, add water to jaggery and melt it on a low flame
  7. Filter it and discard the debris & Add ghee to it.
  8. Boil this jaggery syrup till you get a soft ball consistency. To check drop little syrup in a small bowl of water. You must be able to roll and get a soft ball & Add rock sugar to the nuts
  9. Add this jaggery syrup to the nuts and mix well. Begin to cook again on a low flame, stirring constantly to prevent burning. Cook till you see jaggery strings in the mix.
  10. Mix well.Now shape them into small lemon sized ladoos.Arrange them in liners and store it.

Improves digestion:  Anjeer is rich in dietary fibre. 3 pieces of dried figs contain 5 grams of fibre, which accounts for about 20% of our daily requirement
 
Helps in weight loss: Apart from being rich in fiber, dried figs are low in calories. One piece of dried fig gives you just 47 calories .

Healing Properties of Anjeer (Fig) :-
 

Lower Cholesterol - Figs contain Pectin which is a soluble fiber. When we consume soluble fiber it helps to remove cholesterol from the system and flushes it out of the body.

Colon Cancer - Fiber present in figs is useful to flush out all the harmful toxins from the body including cancer causing substances.    

Prevents Constipation - Figs are rich in fiber which ensures healthy bowel movement thereby preventing constipation.
